About Web Services and Applications

Web Services and Applications is a set of web APIs and user interfaces that provide a web-based client interface to access Genesys services.

Important
Workspace Web Edition and Gplus Adapter for Salesforce are not available in this restricted release of Web Services and Applications.

To work with the APIs, you must first follow the steps in this Deployment Guide to install and configure the Web Services and Applications Docker containers. After that, you can work directly with the APIs to create custom agent applications that integrate with Genesys. These applications can include features such as state management, call control, supervisor monitoring, and call recording.

Web Services includes the following APIs:

  • Authentication API
  • Provisioning API
  • Workspace API
  • Statistics API

You can find all reference documentation for the Web Services API on the PureEngage Cloud Developer Center for 9.0. This developer site provides reference documentation, articles and tutorials for the cloud version of the Web Services API, called the PureEngage Cloud APIs. While the focus of this site is the cloud APIs, the reference information it contains is also applicable to the Web Services APIs.
