Prerequisites

To work with Web Services and Applications, make sure that your system meets the following minimum requirements:
OS requirements
- Linux Red Hat, version 6
Java requirements
- If you're installing Web Services and Applications version 8.5.201.09 or earlier, you must also install the latest Java 1.7 JDK 64bit for Linux. For more information, refer to the Java documentation.
- If you're installing Web Services and Applications version 8.5.201.29 or newer, you must also install Java JDK 1.8.0_92 or newer 64bit for Linux. For more information, refer to the Java documentation. If you're upgrading from JDK 7 to JDK 8, check out the Java Adoption Guide.
Jetty requirements
- Jetty 9.2.14.v20151106 is now embedded in the Web Services and Applications installation. For Web Services and Applications version 8.5.201.09 or earlier, you need to install and configure Jetty 9 separately.
Cassandra requirements
- You have installed and configured Cassandra.We support Cassandra 1.2 and 2.2
Browser support
Workspace Web Edition
Workspace Web Edition supports the following browsers:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 and 11
- Google Chrome 38+
- Firefox 34+
Gplus Adapter for Salesforce
Gplus Adapter for Salesforce supports the following web browsers:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 and 11
- Google Chrome 38+
- Firefox 34+
The adapter supports the following browser when using the Workspace Web Edition deployment option:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 11
- Google Chrome 38+
- Firefox 34+
Genesys environment
In addition to having a Genesys Management Framework 8.1.100.11 environment installed and running, the following table lists the Genesys components that are used with a Web Services and Applications installation.
